Retrofit central heating systems can be fitted very successfully to most modern caravans. Older caravans may have limited wall space and unsuitable water heater cupboards. This doesn’t mean heating cannot be fitted, but may involve some form of compromise when positioning radiators and the Combi boiler.
In all other cases I would expect the new heating system to appear as if original equipment, as fitted by the caravan manufacturer.
What do I get?
The hub of the system is the 24kW Morco LPG Condensing Combi Boiler with horizontal flue, designed and built for residential park, and holiday homes. Up to eight radiators, seven with thermostatic radiator controls. All pipework is 15mm or 22mm, in a combination of copper and plastic barrier type tube. Full lagging to the external pipework with antifreeze added to system.
This service is available to most areas of Wales, but subject to these restrictions.
What are the benefits?
The ultimate leisure experience without the cost and upheaval of changing your caravan. Warmth and comfort all year round. Control of the boiler with onboard timer, and thermostatic radiator valves for minimum gas consumption. Lashings of hot water at a temperature of your choosing.
Are there any optional extras?
For a very reasonable extra charge, bathroom radiators can be upgraded to towel rails, standard shower mixers upgraded to (recommended) thermostatic, and the lounge TRVs replaced with a room stat.
What does it cost?
Less than you might think!
If you have (and 90% of modern holiday homes have) an adequate gas supply and a suitable cupboard on an outside wall, the total cost of a basic working system as outlined above is only £2895!
